Corrupted Save File Issue on PS5
Issue: Game Stuck at Initial Loading Screen on PS4/PS5
Issue: We are aware of an issue for PS4/PS5 where some players may get stuck at the initial loading screen after the intros are played, and the game does not proceed to main menu. Please see below for the example loading screen.
Cause: This appears to happen
- When the user starts the game for the first time,
- then changes any settings such as Controls/Gameplay/Audio, etc,
- then exits the game before starting a new game for the first time.
OR
- Using Save slot2
- then changes any settings such as Controls/Gameplay/Audio, etc,
- then exits the game before starting a new game for the first time.
OR
- Using Save slot2
- then changes any settings such as Controls/Gameplay/Audio, etc,
- then exits the game before starting a new game for the first time.
Fix: If stuck in the loading loop,
- first exit the game.
- Then delete the saved data for Upin & Ipin Universe from your console. You can find the instructions for your console below,

Then:
- Once the saved data is deleted, you should be able to start the game normally and proceed to the main menu.
- Once at the main menu Start Game and select a save slot.
- After the introduction cutscene is completed and you have control of the character you can then proceed to exit to main menu from the in game settings. This will generate a save file, and you will know this worked if "Continue" is displayed on the main menu.
The game should then be safe to change any settings, exit, start, and play normally without any future issues.
We are actively investigating this issue and will have a patch pushed shortly.
Important:
Please avoid using SaveSlot2 and SaveSlot3 at this time. Stick to SaveSlot1 for the best experience.
